A West Dorset firm that finishes what it starts
Chapman Building & Plastering has been a limited company since 2012, based between Axminster and Bridport and covering West Dorset and East Devon. Most of what we take on is the whole job: we start at the footings, bring the other trades in ourselves, and you deal with one number until the keys go back.
One firm, one number
Chapman is a building and plastering firm, and that is the whole point. The people who dig the footings and put the shell up are the same firm that boards, skims and renders it at the end, so the programme does not stall waiting on another contractor and the finish is the same throughout the house.
Most of our work is whole projects: new houses from the ground up, extensions tied properly into the house that is already there, farmhouses stripped back and brought up to standard, and listed buildings repaired in lime the way the consent is written. We book the electricians, plumbers, tilers and glaziers ourselves, we work to your architect's drawings and the engineer's details, and we book the building control inspections at each stage.
We are based between Axminster and Bridport, so West Dorset and East Devon are home ground. Bridport, Axminster, Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Beaminster and the villages of the Marshwood Vale are all a normal day's run.

Chapman Building & Plastering Ltd is registered in England and Wales, Company No. 08249210, incorporated in October 2012. The firm is run from between Axminster and Bridport, and the plastering and rendering side of the business is what sets it apart from a general builder: it is done by our own people, on every job, as part of the same programme.
