Chapman Building & Plastering has been a limited company since 2012, based between Axminster and Bridport and covering West Dorset and East Devon. New builds, extensions, listed buildings and conversions, with the plastering and rendering done in house. Most of what we take on is the whole job: we start at the footings, bring the other trades in ourselves, and you deal with one number until the keys go back.
Sedum green roof, vertical larch cladding, natural slate, standing seam trim and solar.

Local rubble stone elevations laid and pointed by hand, clay tile roof, timber joinery.

Ash staircase and slatted screen, polished concrete floors, hand-painted kitchen, walls re-plastered throughout.

Raised deck and balustrade, cladding, a garden room on a new base and a rendered extension.

Floor dug out inside the shell, new roof structure, membrane and battens, natural slate, oak dormer and solar.

Retaining walls and steps coursed in local stone, sandstone paving laid to falls off the house.

Chapman did the whole extension at ours in Charmouth and sorted every other trade themselves. We rang one number the whole way through and it was finished on the date they gave us.
Our place is listed and half the builders we rang would not touch it. Chapman rebuilt the chimney and made good the stonework and it looks like it has always been there.
Whole downstairs re-plastered and skimmed in three days. Walls came up flat as anything, ready to paint, and they swept up behind themselves every night.
New build from the footings up. Chapman ran the programme, booked the electrician, the plumber and the tiler, and we were in for Christmas as promised.
